Inspire greater hope.
Motivated by God’s love, and in partnership with local communities, we aim to equip volunteers, respond to disasters and strengthen individuals to inspire greater hope in Lebanon.

Who We Are
Mission
We are a branch of Hope World Wide sharing the same mission of changing lives through the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers of various ages and backgrounds to deliver sustainable, high-impact community based services to the poor and needy.
Vision
HOPE Worldwide vision is to bring hope and change the lives of the Lebanon’s poorest, sick and vulnerable.
The Journey of HOPE
HOPE worldwide was founded in 1991 in response to the call of serving the poor, sick and suffering throughout the world. The organization started with just three small programs dedicated to bringing hope to vulnerable communities. In Abidjan, Ivory Coast, HOPE worldwide established an HIV/AIDS clinic to meet the critical health needs of a country plagued with disease. A medical clinic in Mexico City, Mexico provided treatment for children without access to quality healthcare.
Children were also the focus of educational outreach programs in Bangalore, India. In collaboration with the International Churches of Christ, HOPE worldwide quickly expanded its reach, building relationships with partner organizations and mobilizing thousands of volunteers. While maintaining its Biblical foundation, HOPE worldwide was compelled to find new and innovative ways to fight poverty, respond to disasters and foster a culture of volunteerism. Today, HOPE worldwide serves more than 1.5 million people annually on every inhabited continent.
HOPE Worldwide-Lebanon was established and registered in Lebanon in December 1994 under the decree number 6211, with the aim of extending a helping hand to the most impacted social stratum. Over the years, we have supported the renovation of a chronic care center, provided counseling for at-risk families, organized awareness raising campaigns, delivered vocational training to youth, and extended aid and food assistance for families in need. Our volunteers have actively entertained children with cancer, cleaned the houses of elderly people, and actively engaged in humanitarian support.
The Scope of Our Work
Lately, we have expanded our scope of services to raise awareness towards the dangers of COVID-19, including its psychological impact on families, especially with children, during lockdown, and how to take protective and proactive measures.
Witnessing (and living through) the series of shattering events that have hit our beloved country Lebanon since October 2020, starting with the revolution, inflation, and the economic crisis and moving through the COVID-19 pandemic, into the last explosion that hit Beirut resulting in death, destruction, harm, and homelessness. In response to the current crisis, we are mobilizing all our resources to extend whatever support we can, ranging from the implementation of minor repairs, moving to the distribution of food baskets and hygiene kits, and encompassing psychosocial counseling, especially to families who have children with special needs.

Our approach is holistic, we believe that every member in a family is a main stakeholder, hence we have addressed programs to cover the needs of supporting couples in having a healthy marriage “I choose us” and tightening the bonds between children and their parents by working through the distinctive international program “Good Enough parenting”.
A remarkable work has been in progress to support Special Needs families with social, emotional, psychological and technical support. Future plans of raising awareness and encouraging inclusive communities to adopt a supporting and loving approach to those families.
We have a team of experts and volunteers who overwhelm us with their dedication and kindness. However, we are in the process of developing a new initiative targeting Lebanese and non-Lebanese students and youth of the most affected from the blast, in order to empower them and create a platform for them to express their ideas, concerns and interests.
